News about staffing changes from Melissa Dagenhart
After much deliberation I've decided to step down from my roles with MSC to pursue other endeavors. It has been a privilege and pleasure to help grow the series started in 1984 by my late husband Bryan Dagenhart. Of the many highlights, hearing our daughter sing in the Chapel in February was the best (Gia was a special guest at the Calhouns show: videos). Our 30th Anniversary 10-Act concert and celebration (10-18-2014) is another favorite highlight. I must say though that much of my enjoyment came from witnessing your enjoyment of the artists we present. I thank you for your patronage and I appreciate the comments, feedback, and encouragement given over the past six years.
Here's the best news: the music will continue in the Chapel thanks to the new team! A big welcome to folk enthusiast and multi-venue volunteer Karen Jensen who will be taking on the director role (including booking). Also, we are very grateful that our longtime venue assistant and ticket seller Vicki Webb has agreed to keep doing her various tasks going forward. And we welcome our newest volunteers who'll be doing publicity and more, folk musicians Joel Simpson and Jennifer Ashley. Thank you to each of them for their willing spirits, big hearts, and bravery!
Our contact, website, and social media information will remain the same (it just won't be me manning them anymore). I'll see you on May 12, May 24, and/or September 15. After that, I look forward to transitioning to being an audience member!
